Jo Ehrlich

After many years working as a nurse, medical practice nurse and practice manager, Jo returned to study and completed her psychology degree and post graduate diploma. Following 18 years in private practice, Jo sold her private practice and travelled around Australia in a small motor home, fulfilling a long-held dream. Since returning home earlier last year, Jo has decided to return to work, on a part time basis. Jo previously worked as a Counselling Psychologist and Professional Supervisor.

Jo's experience has allowed her to develop several key skills necessary for assisting those seeking therapy, including:

​

  • Family, Individual and Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy 

  • Knowledge and experience in Trauma and Crisis treatment and interventions 

  • Use of a variety of techniques and therapeutic approaches to meet the specific needs of the client 

  • Knowledge and experience in treating clients suffering with Loss and Grief, Complex Trauma, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, PTSD, Relationship Issues, Personality Disorders, Substance Abuse and Chronic Pain Management

Jo's areas of interest include:

 

  • Complex trauma and the potential lifelong sequela of early childhood distress 

  • Loss and grief 

  • The practice of meditation and its uses in therapy 

  • Preventative practices to aid positive mental health and well being 

  • Peace making and conflict resolution at both an individual and international level
