Dilini Perera is a Registered Psychologist providing compassionate, evidence-based and person-centred support to individuals across the lifespan. She offers therapy tailored to each client’s unique experiences, strengths and goals, creating a space where people feel genuinely heard and understood.

 

Dilini supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, adjustment challenges, neurodiversity, addiction, children’s mental health concerns and major life transitions. She also has a strong focus on perinatal and postnatal mental health.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed principles. She works collaboratively with clients to build insight, develop practical coping strategies and create meaningful, sustainable change.

 

Perinatal Mental Health

Dilini has completed specialised training through the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE). She supports individuals and families navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy-related stress, birth trauma, postnatal adjustment and the emotional demands of early parenthood.

 

Cultural Inclusivity

Cultural awareness and inclusivity are central to Dilini’s practice. She has experience supporting culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) clients and speaks Sinhalese, offering culturally sensitive care for clients who value receiving support in their first language.

Dilini completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of Queensland and holds a Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies for Health Professionals from the University of Tasmania, strengthening her expertise in addiction, behaviour change and complex presentations.

Dilini is known for her warm, grounded presence and her commitment to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel respected, empowered and supported in their growth.
